Colis Privé is expanding its Belgian network with a new hub in Wallonia

ColisPrivé Fernelmont 2026
Namur, 2 June 2026 – Colis Privé announces the start of construction of its future sorting centre at the Eco Business Park in Fernelmont, in partnership with Kolmont and Nestin. This new hub in Wallonia forms part of the company’s continued development in Belgium, now structured around two complementary strategic locations in Flanders and Wallonia, enabling it to respond to the sustained evolution of e‑commerce flows.

Sustainable e‑commerce growth requires adapted infrastructure

Since establishing operations in Belgium, Colis Privé has progressively built out its network to support the growth of e‑commerce. The company is now firmly established in the Belgian market and continues to expand at a steady pace, with ongoing focus on controlled growth and consistent service quality.

Across the France–BeLux region, Colis Privé delivered more than 91 million parcels in 2025, including 21 million in BeLux. This momentum continues into 2026: as early as May, volumes in Belgium and Luxembourg are already exceeding those recorded during the end‑of‑year peak in 2025. This trend reflects a structural shift in the market, with higher and more evenly distributed volumes throughout the year.

“The focus is not simply on opening a new hub. What we are seeing today is a lasting shift in e‑commerce flows, with higher and more consistent volumes throughout the year. Our role is to adapt our network now to support this evolution, while maintaining a high level of service quality.”
Peter Henderickx, CEO, Colis Privé BeLux

In this context, the challenge is no longer limited to managing peak demand, but rather to sustainably adapting logistics infrastructure to this new operating rhythm. Colis Privé is therefore continuing its structured expansion, anticipating future needs without compromising service quality. The ability to offer later cut‑off times remains a key factor in meeting the expectations of e‑commerce players.

A proven operational base in Flanders

Colis Privé’s development in Belgium is built on a solid operational foundation. Since 2021, the Willebroek hub has served as the core of national operations and has played a central role in scaling activity. The site has successfully supported the company’s initial growth phases in the Belgian market, ensuring efficient flow management while maintaining high operational performance. It remains a key pillar of the group’s logistics network.

With volumes continuing to increase, the hub now operates at a level that not only confirms the strength of the existing model but also supports the case for additional capacity at national level.

Balanced expansion with a second hub in Wallonia

With the Fernelmont project, Colis Privé is taking the next step in structuring its Belgian network around two complementary sites.

The new hub in Wallonia is intended to support sustained growth and strengthen overall network resilience. It will enable the company to:

  • absorb steadily increasing volumes, including outside peak periods,
  • improve the balance of flows between regions,
  • further enhance operational stability and service quality.

This two‑hub model will improve national coverage, optimise volume distribution and help maintain high service levels, particularly in terms of late cut‑off times.

A project supporting the local economy and employment

Located in the heart of Wallonia, the Fernelmont site benefits from a strategic position close to major road networks, facilitating logistics operations at national level.

Beyond its operational role, the project is also part of a broader local development dynamic. It will support the creation of both direct and indirect jobs and provide opportunities across a range of operational and managerial roles.

Colis Privé expects to recruit around 100 employees over time, in addition to its existing network of delivery partners.

The project will contribute to:

  • local economic development,
  • strengthening the regional logistics ecosystem,
  • the creation of sustainable employment opportunities.

A development in partnership with Kolmont and Nestin

The sorting centre is being developed in partnership with Kolmont and Nestin within the Eco Business Park in Fernelmont. Commissioning is planned following an approximately nine‑month construction phase. The park offers infrastructure that meets current environmental standards, including the use of sustainable materials, electric vehicle charging facilities and optimised energy performance.

A strengthened and structured presence in Belgium

With its established hub in Willebroek in Flanders and the future site in Fernelmont in Wallonia, Colis Privé is progressively strengthening its footprint in Belgium.

This dual‑hub structure will support the transformation of the e‑commerce market, enhance network performance and underpin sustainable growth, for the benefit of customers, teams and the regions it serves.
